QXAS Training Academy celebrates 2nd anniversary and 76th trainee

We’ve been eating cake at the QXAS Training Academy today. Can you believe it’s been 2 years already!

[The mystery of the disappearing birthday cake solved]

n February 2015 we launched the QXAS Training Academy, and our first batch of 29 accountants graduated to work on live accounts just a year later.

Since then we’ve appointed another training manager, enrolled 39 more trainee accountants into the programme in 2016, and drank thousands of cups of tea.

Fresh new faces

The work we’ve done between years 2015 and 2017 is substantial. In our first year, we welcomed 37 new faces into the academy – 29 of these graduated to work on live accounts by Feb 2016.

The number of trainees enrolling for our programme increased to 39 in 2016, with 31 graduates being paired up with trained and experienced accountants over the year. They are now undergoing on-the-job training, before we are confident they can competitively work on client’s live accounts.

Jay Joshi, AVP of Training, said, “All of us are so proud of what the trainees have been able to achieve over the last two years.  They are coming here because of the facilities and the training we provide, which is often not available elsewhere. This year we have had a 100% increase in the number of new trainees which means that we are already meeting our target numbers and providing skills that our trainees and clients want.”

All new trainees and (existing staff) continue to enjoy tuition from AVP of Training, Jay Joshi and newly-appointed, Training Manager, Devesh Solanki.  The programme includes: bookkeeping, document identification, accounts preparation, UK taxation and payroll amongst a number of other elements.

[The Trainees]
Accounting trainee, Ishani, said, “The QXAS Training Academy provides a launch pad into a fun and professional company. I am building new skills and am excited to see where the rest of my career will take me!”

Celebrations!

We celebrated with a staff party at our offices.

Rajiv Bhatia, MD at QX, said, “ We can really celebrate our second birthday knowing that the QXAS Training Academy is proving itself to be a great asset to our business. It’s meeting its aim of ensuring trainees graduate with the skills they need for their professionl development.  We’ve got exciting plans for the future and I’m looking forward to our next birthday.”

Hiring new talent

New roles available at QXAS include trainee accounts assistants, accountants at all levels, and ACCA accountants.  We are already planning the next intake for the Academy. If you have finished college, and have a love for numbers, explore the vacancies page on the QX Group website and get in touch.

The future!

We’ll have some post-anniversary photos to share on our Facebook next week, so please follow us. For now we’ll like to thank all our staff members, new trainees, clients and, of course, our training managers, who believe in our service and have supported us during the first two years of the training academy.
