QX Accounting Services is Cyber Essentials Plus Certified

Maintaining a high level of cybersecurity has always been a priority at QXAS, and this time, we are taking it a step further. We are proud to announce that our organisation has been accredited with the highest level of certification under the Cyber Essentials Plus scheme.

As a leading accounting outsourcing firm trusted by 350+ accountants in the UK, the Cyber Essentials Plus certification is another step in our mission to continuously improve our cyber security protocols and make sure that our data security is airtight, keeping our client data 100% safe.

WHAT IS CYBER ESSENTIALS PLUS?

Cyber Essentials Plus is a security accreditation process where cybersecurity experts carry out vulnerability tests to ensure that the organisation is protected against cyber threats like hacking, network attacks, phishing attacks, malware, ransomware, etc. A third-party, independent auditor supplies the certificate after conducting rigorous tests, demonstrating that the company has robust IT defenses to address cyber-attacks.

Designed by the UK Government, the Cyber Essentials scheme helps organisations mitigate internet-based risks. It sets out a guideline of procedural controls to protect against internet-based attackers and allows them to maintain high reliability and confidence.

The scheme evaluates an organisation’s cyber defenses based on 5 primary data-security controls: secure internet connection, malware, and virus protection, secure access control to data and services, device and software security, and effective patch management. When these controls are administered correctly, 80% of cyber-attacks can be prevented.

A QUOTE FROM THE DPO

Here’s what our Data Protection Offer, Amit Simon, has to say: “The Cyber Essentials Plus certification reaffirms that we are serious about data security and keeping our client’s data safe. We continue to review our systems and processes to protect ourselves and our clients as best we can from the evolving threats in the digital space.”
