QX Accounting Services is Cyber Essentials Plus Certified

QXAS is proud to announce that in our mission to provide 100% data security to our clients, our delivery centres in India are now accredited with the highest level of certification, i.e., Cyber Essentials Plus.

As a premier accounting outsourcing company working with CPAs across the United States, the Cyber Essentials Plus certification is another step in our pursuit to keep improving our cybersecurity protocols and ensuring our data management systems are in place.

WHAT IS CYBER ESSENTIALS PLUS?

Cyber Essentials Plus is a digital security certification process that validates an organization’s data management and protection processes. In order to assess the cyber-security of a firm, an independent, third-party auditor carries out vulnerability tests ensuring that it is safeguarded against cyber threats like hacking, ransomware, phishing attacks, network attacks, malware, etc.

Once done with these rigorous cyber-security checks, the auditor provides a Cyber Essentials Plus Certificate, which testifies that the organization has robust mechanisms to mitigate cyber threats.

The Cyber Essentials scheme is designed by the UK Government, which helps organizations to avoid internet-based risks. As per the scheme, there is a guideline outlined to define procedural controls to protect firms against internet-based attackers and maintain high-level data security and retain the confidence of their clients.

The scheme addresses five key controls: secure internet connection, device and software security, secure access control to services and data, malware and virus protection, and effective patch management. When implemented correctly, it is possible to prevent 80% of cyber-attacks.

A QUOTE FROM THE DPO

QXAS Data Protection Offer, Amit Simon shares his thoughts:

“The Cyber Essentials Plus certification reaffirms that we are serious about data security and keeping our client’s data safe. We continue to review our systems and processes to protect ourselves and our clients as best we can from the evolving threats in the digital space.”
